Thank you for supporting the important work of South Carolina Equality. Your contribution will assist us in achieving our goal of creating a discrimination-free South Carolina.


You can support our work through a contribution today or through planned giving. You can make your gift to either South Carolina Equality or to South Carolina Equality Foundation.

Giving to our 501(c)(4) membership and lobbying organization

Gifts of $25 or more to South Carolina Equality, our 501 (c) (4) membership and lobbying organization, will automatically enroll you as member of the organization. As a member, you will receive an “Equal means everyone” bumper sticker, email Action Alerts, invitations to quarterly member events. While gifts to our lobby organization are not tax-deductible, your gift allows us to:

  • Draft and promote gay and transgender inclusive legislation
  • Actively lobby state and local lawmakers
  • Mobilize thousands of voters

Giving to our 501(c)(3) communication education and outreach organization

Your gift to South Carolina Equality, our 501(c) 3 organization, assists us with our community education and outreach efforts. These programs focus on the issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender South Carolinians. Gifts to South Carolina Equality Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by the Internal Revenue Service.

Planned giving

A bequest to South Carolina Equality or South Carolina Equality Foundation is a way of perpetuating your commitment to our work and shared vision of a state where all South Carolinians are treated equally, with dignity and respect.
 
Through a bequest, you may leave to South Carolina Equality or South Carolina Equality Foundation a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate after provisions for family members and other beneficiaries have been made.
