Enacting policies that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity is one of our most important objectives.

SC Equality works throughout the state to ensure that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) South Carolinians are treated equally in matters of public accommodations, housing, and employment.

At SC Equality, we believe that LGBT South Carolinians should not have to hide who they love while they are at work. That's why we support national efforts to pass the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). ENDA will prohibit employment discrimination against LGBT individuals in all fifty states. We're currently mobilizing our members to contact their Representatives and Senators and urge them to pass a fully inclusive ENDA, which will provide comprehensive protection for all LGBT citizens.
